Introductory note.

Hello people, welcome to my blog “job Searching – My Way!”

Here’s a little introduction about myself and the blog.

I’m Mohammed Atif Nawaz, working with Bangalore metro (planning & design Dept.) and living in Bangalore. Belonging from a native place called Raichur (North Karnataka). I had my Upbringing & education until my bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. After which I moved to Bangalore in 2016 for Pursuing my master’s in structural engineering, Since then (2016 ) I’m staying in Bangalore to the present day.

The blog is exclusively dedicated to the Job Searching process including in its entire aspects like how to job search, where to job search, what job searching actually means & how should it be.

Now the main question: why I thought that I needed to share my experiences of 4+ years coming to Bangalore and knowing a lot of things about my field civil engineering, how corporates work, what are the expectation by the Company from the Fresher civil engineering graduates?

Simple Answer to the above question is: Because I want to contribute my bit in one of my country’s biggest problems faced currently i.e. Um-employment & the skill gap.

Coming to the title of the blog & why it is “Job Searching- My Way!”. I interact with a lot of job seekers from the civil engineering profession on day to day basis, both in person as well as on platforms like Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, College friends, Aluminies, Seniors. I observe that fresher job seekers in civil engineering have an entire misconception of what job searching is & how it actually works in corporates. Now there’s a reason why I say getting a job in civil engineering companies (herein referred to as ‘The Process’) is very different from other domains, say software engineering for example.

If you are a civil engineering graduate and you need a core civil engineering job and what most people do whenever they see a core civil engineering job is they send the resume via email and wait for the reply from HR. which in most of cases, the reply is never got.

In the past 4 years, I came to know how actually corporate works in civil engineering & believe me, it’s not what the majority of the people think it is. Hence this blog would be covering all those ways which I learned (all by myself) from my experiences in these 4 years, in a series of blogs.

Also, this blog would be having a “JOBS” Section where I will be posting all vacancies in civil engineering from time to time. And I guaranty that the jobs which you see here would be many times better then you would find on other platforms like naukri.com, indeed, monster, etc in terms of quality & genuineness of jobs.

Readers can find info about my profile, this blog from the hamburger menu () located in the top left corner of the page, which also contains the JOBS Section which I would be updating soon.

So see you all in the upcoming blogs & do like, follow the blog also subscribe to instantly get to know whenever I update blogs on this website.

    1. Will share that too in detail in coming blogs.

Basic thing in preparation is to prepare on subjects/things relative too the post which we apply for. For example: if we are applying for structural Engineering job, we should be knowing code clauses of IS456, 1893, along with Concepts or Earthquake Engineering like ductility, EQ zones , codal procedures along with software knowledge too like ETABS/staad.
